Politically pointed prose in the front page denotes that Kennedy/Charles Kennedy is
surviving as Liberal Democrat leader but, he has suffered a severe blow - there is a sharp
fall in his Party's Polling! This is offset with a highly amusing cartoon, the punch line is
offered by a weedy little character /if Mr Kennedy doesnt want his diary, can I have it?/

movie star finally, on the way out! Yes and No!
It looks like the great outfits of Miss Loren's film career are not meeting with Italian approval, from the young trendsetting models and fashion icons in Europe: The ladies in question are well kitted out with pink-orange trousers and a ritzy jacket - carrying a handbag (unlike myself: I take my Big green overnight bag with me everywhere, even to Italian Restaurants here in Britain?)
Sophia Loren's style of dressing is always matched up, in our imagination, with Cary Grant, or Ingrid Bergman: to me that was the Hollywood Movie Star at its best! Move over Sophia
and let Italy take over!
The obituary column caught my eye: Gyorgy Sandor - the Hungarian born pianist who studied under the composer: Bela Bartok died December 9, age 93, rest in peace: He married in 1950, Princess Christin of Habsburg, the former wife of Archduke Carlos, a pretender to the Spanish Throne, the marriage was dissolved and he is survived by a son: This generation of great artists often provided me with a wonderfully electic background which no doubt shall be missed.
Then back to our PM. Mr Tony Blair on page 6:
