Alexandra Topping, in her article covering the firing of Emma Clarke, the London
tube voiceover, has highlighted the unshakeable norm defining the biting of the
hand that
feeds. Ms. Clarke made a lot of very relevent jokes on her website but in today''s age of supersenitivity they were certain to offend and the tube decided to cancel her work assignments. Truth about
people and
situations cannot insult their creators. Other people and other situations, yes, not your own. This lady
told Londoners their heads were stuck in their rear ends, their city stinks, their men lacked frequent sex. She told Americans they talked too loud and a series of other, no doubt truthfull, insulting spoofs. Media workers and other public oriented personalities should take note. The hand that feeds you supplies the food. If they think you''re out of place you''re going to lose. Thinking you''re sacrosanct or established doesn''t change that.
