The story in today''s edition in which Gordon Brown admitted the undeclared 600,000 pounds received in donations was also supported by other officials who claimed they did not know about all the requirements of reporting and weren''t sure about this and that. Yet, the Act wherein this
kind of thing was outlawed was passed by their own
party at a time when they were accused of rushing the legislation to hinder their opponents. Gordon Brown has promised to return the money and everybody appears to be neither here nor there in this matter which is both illegal and by British
law, criminal. If ever there was a loose and '' don''t look at me '' attitude among a governing party it is now. This is their law and obviously they broke it. The Prime Minister said so in admittance. Is this not the United Kingdom ? Famous for its laws and the respect of same ? What on earth has happened to the
integrity of England with this kind of perfromance ?
