Omagh trial farce prompts inquiry cals .. and the demands from victims families are familiar .. Sir Ronnie Flanagan must be held to account. whew! that is something to start the process back again. I was in Belfast during the Omagh bombing and heard a lot about it upfront but I was not active in the scourging of sins at that time or even now of the IRA or Sir Ronnie Flanagan or the position of the British In Ireland viz Northern Ireland.
In fact I left Northern Ireland in 1966 and so all intents and purposes I never actually went back though everytime they are in hot water over there they throw their bad
news back to me .... I guess the Government is on Christmas Holidays unlike me I am working over Christmas but as a poet and dont I know it.
I had the good fortune when resident in Belfast Northern Ireland to board the London
flight and there was a
great deal of fuss about VIPs .... and Sir Ronnie Flanagan boarded the flight soon after me ..... my attention was drawn to the fact that this man was the Head of the RUC a Northern Irish Police Force but since I had lived out of Ireland since 19 years old I had to find out who's who in the Police these days. So Ronnie Flanagan is in the thick of it yet again .......
