Funny thing happened to me today on the way to the Hilton .... I met a man who told me a story
about the British voter wanting Troops out of Iraq and home at the end of the year .. indeed those
very sentiments are echoed in Tuesday's Guardian. There is fresh pressure on Tony Blair
British Prime Minister to call for early withdrawal ...
Michael Howard the eminent Conservative MP is again front page news ... Mr Howard is questioned
in honours inquiry ... he is first party leader to be interviewed by the Police ...will keep you posted
on the outcome!
A
new line of development ... former Enron chief Chief Executive Jeffrey Skilling has been jailed for
24
years ... somebody out there obviously doesnt like him ... its a heavy sentence!
Different approach ... new to you and to me ... How to Speak with a BBC Accent! ...well its advocated
here that you join the BBC Pronunciation Unit ... and indeed speaking as a Pronunciation Expert myself
I will certainly do that ... next Monday and not a moment before ...
The age of
silver is ever with us .. as someone who values the Silver Pen every 20 or so years its
interesting to read Paula Cocozza on the time when cars were red televisions were black and fridges were plain white ... looks like Paula's
toaster is still silver ... wish I was so lucky and had my villa in the sun
with my silver or gold toaster on the worktop ...
Very artistic and fruitful
reading into Guardians .... wholesome stuff ... keep on reading ...
