That' s right ... I did my two and a half hours walking and waited at the Bus stop
for another 30 minutes and caught the bus into the City .... there I bought
Tuesday's Guardian.
What drew my attention was the heading ;; about Jeremy Paxman .. because
I have bumped into Mr. Paxman an illustrious journalist broadcaster and author
on several occasions.
The first
occasion was on my return from Prague to London ... though on that
occasion I didnt actually "see" Mr. Paxman but I heard that he was
around somewhere in the Terminal Building,at London's Heathrow Airport.
On the second occasion I had received received a great surprise from my UK
publishers about my poem: Red Butterfly which is now published in a
Poetry Anthology entitled: Northern Verse published by www.forwardpress.co.uk
I found out that Paxman was in Northern Ireland covering Sinn Fein and the
Setting Up of the Stormont Agreement about Power Sharing ... The Executive ..
the New Outfit or whatever else that particular Centre is now referred to as.
In
today's Guardian Filthy Britain, you dirty rat YOU ... and it fronts with
a
picture of Lady Thatcher in her glory
days picking up litter in
St James Park in London. Ah! those were the days and I like
Maggie Thatcher wore that jacket ... they used to say in fashion
circles ... it makes you look "thick" as it does Maggie Thatcher!
But then it protects one from the elements and other forms of
attack.
Though I must admit I do like the Audrey Hepburn look in the film:
Breakfast At Tiffanys and I have worn that dress with those gloves ...
even if it dates me rather ...
Boris Johnston another journalist has a great picture there with
his blond locks flashing forward for the camera ... strikes quite
an elegant pose for the same gentleman.
Happy reading in today's Guardian. ... excellent stuff ...
