I grabbed a quick expresso at Costa Cafe and in the midst of phoning my bank and sorting out my business for the incoming week - including planning for tomorrow - I picked up a copy of the Independent and quickly flicked through the pages to discover that President George Bush during his visit to the United Kingdom has gone out to visit schools in Belfast Northern Ireland.
The President/George Bush obviously has a sense of humour and there HE is sporting a tag or holding a placard in front of his "jacket" but the words are not clear however flagging him on either side is a young girl from a Primary School and an orange balloon ........... it appears from the smiles all around that President George Bush 's visit to Belfast, Northern Ireland has been a great success and the welcome on the mat Belfast is famous for is obviously in motion.
Let me point out, however , that I have met and shook hands with the President of America i.e. President Bill Clinton in 2004 when Mr Clinton and Mrs Clinton made a sweeping tour of Ireland on HIS massive Book signing activity which was a huge success, so much so, that I queued to meet the President and bought a signed copy of Mr Clinton's Book ... My Life . which got a Rave Review from myself ... writer with www.shvoong.com since I dip into Political Writings every now and then especially when the best selling writer is Bill Clinton/The President of USA!
Warm welcome to from Britain on the diplomatic front to President George Bush and I hoped he enjoyed dinner at 10 Downing Street ... I read the menu and it was certainly appetising! Great news in the Independent .. keep on working!
