A MUM killed herself after a sex attack witnessed by her five-year-old son, a
court heard. Hayley Jordan took an overdose of pills following the assault by three men who filmed it on a mobile phone, a
jury was told. In footage from the mobile played in court her
little boy Daniel could clearly be heard screaming: “No, don’t do that! Don’t do that to my mummy!"
The film showed Hayley – unconscious after drinking – being assaulted with a TV remote control and being subjected to a simulated sex act. One jury member gasped and another clapped her hand over her mouth as a minute-long clip was played to Isleworth Crown Court, West London.
Grave Hayley, 20 at the time, was unaware of what had happened to her for weeks. But less than ten
months later she was dead aged just 21.
Accused ... Scott The tragic mother of two gave evidence from beyond the grave in a videotaped interview with a policewoman.
In the tape, recorded less than two months before her death, she spoke of the terrible effect she feared the assault would have on Daniel. Referring also to younger son Harvey, two, she wept: “It keeps going over and over in my head. Harvey’s too little to understand. But Danny, he’s five going on 40 – a little man. “He’s seen what I’ve seen on that video. It’s going to scar him for life.” As the 50-minute section was shown Hayley’s mother Sally Jordan left the court in floods of tears. The Crown alleges that Hayley was assaulted after meeting two men as they bought food and booze for a barbecue at a house which backed on to hers in Northolt in August 2005. She took her sons to the barbecue, where she was given glasses of wine and passed out.
Prosecutor Beverly Cripps told the jury they would hear evidence that accused Kyle Scott, 21, laughed and said, “Let’s do something to her”.
