Video
games: Entertainment or a danger to your
children?
Violent
Video games such as Grand Theft Auto for Playstation 2, Xbox ETC. Is where you do missions killing
people. and roaming round the city causing destruction. It has twisted childrens mind to find killing people funny. This could seriously make children want to
kill people or be like the character in Grand Theft Auto and Manhunt, very popular video games thet have been
banned for a short period of time. Children still find it funny to kill people and hijack cars and planes. Is this making children want to do these things? And is it the cause of the incident where the Two brothers in America where they started shooting cars going past on a motorway. This incident also can be viewed on Grand Theft Auto where you can do this. Did this make them do that? or did they just want too?
My opinion is that these type of video games are making children do terrible things that may put people in hospital of even kill them. I think these video games should be banned from children. But they already have an Eighteen sticker on them, but children don't take notice. The parents of these children buy the games for them for christmas, birthdays ETC. Do the parents care? and why do shop assistants not ask for ID when children buy these games?
On a recently banned
Game called Manhunt you go around and strangle, stab and shoot people. Is this really necersery on a video game. Do the video game makers want to turn children into vandels and murderers?
There have been a handful of incidents where these video games have made children want to kill people and terrorise the streets. So my opinion is that we ban these games to protect children from following these characters in violent games. To protect them from being vandals and murderers.
