The Sun is a tabloid newspaper that has been around for many years, it is often classed as the working mans paper but if you take the time to read it properly you will see that it has a lot to offer. It includes the usual 'Page 3' etc but it also includes good political points that sometimes make you sit back and think. Thier coverage of world events are very good they have some of the best reporters and photographers, they are compassionate in thier reporting and are usually first with the breaking news. They have exposed some of the most dangerous criminals and they have gone undercover to bring the readers the truth about different companies etc.
There is a Sun Woman section that has some very interesting articles on lifestyle, kids, relationships, fashion etc., there is a motoring section written by Jeremy Clarkson as well. There is a good range of sports and a good television guide as well as cartoon strips. Jane Moore and Lorraine Kelly write columns as well. Supernanny Jo Frost gives advice on different child related problems each week, she has a no nonsense approach and must have been a help to a lot of parents.
The crossword is easy to do and there are 2 Sudoku puzzles as well as other puzzles. They are, at the moment, selling holidays for ¢9.50 plus tokens that you collect and they have a special offer section usually everyday ranging from household goods to mortgages!!
Every Saturday they give a child the chance to have thier photo in the football cartoon strip, all you have to do is send a photo of your child with Name, Age, Address and Telephone Number and they will try to put your childs photo as a mascot for the football team. They also have a magazine on Saturday which has stories about TV, listings for the week and updates on the soaps, there is also a Kids Section with news about upcoming programmes and prize puzzles.
Overall I think that at 35p The Sun is good value and it has everything I need in one paper.
