Deliverance at hand district convention was the basis and theme for this artichle. The writer himself being an attender
of the Jehovah's Witness Annual District convention for more than 30 years. However, his emphasis is on this district convention. For years and years now Jehovah's Witnesses have been proclaiming a message of coming doom for all not following bible principles and salvation for those doing just that. Annually a 3 day district convention is held in all parts of the world for Jehovah's Witnesses and anyone else who would like to attend and listen to encouraging words from speakers regarding this message.
However, the writer empasizes the diffrance between past comventions and that of this years 2oo6 " Deliverance At Hand " convention program. Never before has a convention such as this one so focused on the coming end of the current system of things. Talk after talk focused on this theme, encouraging all to attend to fulfil a seven-point resolution to reolve to intensify their work of preaching this bible message, remain in good standing with God and Christ by keeping in line with God's commandments and regulations and to resist the views of those not holding fast to the views of the bible and Jehovah God. Thus, to remain in good standing in the eyes of Jehovah God.
Infact, so impressed by the conduct of the Jehovah's Witnesses, the writer of the artichle decided to put this to the test by conducting a little experiment of his own. On the opening day of the 3 day convention the writer of the artichle proceeded to leave his wallet containing $34 and an old university student id card in a mens bathroom. The very next day, after checking with the lost anf found he claimed this wallet and all that it contained, showing the honesty and brotherly love of Jehovah's Witnesses thus turning his experiment into a success !
The artichle ends with the expierances and joys of those who at that very convention decided to dedicate their lives to their God by making a public dedication by water emersion. The eperiance of these include one young woman who shares how she grew up without a father and how the men in her congregation of witnesses filled that gap for her.
The Artichle is trully amazing and opens our eyes to the fact that our world is on the brink of a global change and encourages all to take action now and make a stand that will lead to everlasting life, joy and happiness instead of the alternative of everlasting cutting off !
