Can The Democrats Reunite A Nation Fractured Over the war in Iraq?

Newspaper Review by: Mosimane

Can The Democrats Reunite A Nation Fractured Over the war in Iraq? As the War in Iraq generates economic and political divisions
in the United states-can the Democrats formulate proposals that will bring peace to this fractured nation? With House Speaker designate Representative Nancy Pelosi serving as a fresh face in national leadership-an opportunity exist for a new direction that will chart a course that results in peace and prosperity in this country that once served as the cradle of civilization. Domestically, the Democrats must craft creative proposals that will stimulate the economy and assist in bridging the gap between the haves and the have nots. Perhaps, more importantly the party of Franklin Delano Roosevelt must lead the country in a discussion that will lead eventually to a coalition that puts the country first ahead of partisan politics. Hopefully, the next session of congress will demonstrate the type of creativity and national cohesiveness that historians will stand in awe over its effectiveness. We will watch closely for the results.
