The efforts to manipulate public opinion and distort facts have always been a problem in terms of accurate journalism. It
is getting more difficult with each passing day! The distortions are especially related to the Middle East and the Nation of Israel in particular. Islamic teachings are spreading in the West. North America in particular is the target for Muslim propaganda. A recent small pamphlet was given to me by a friend who was influenced by a Muslim that he met at work. In it, it accuses the Jewish
people of altering the original text of the Bible in several places. Here is what the pamphlet said was the original text of the Bible that Jews changed:1. Abraham offered Ishmael, not Isaac, on Mount Moriah! The argument that he offered Isaac, NOT Ishmael, is based on Genesis 22:1-2, 9, 12; Hebrews 11:17; and James 2:21. The truth is found in the New Testament as well. 2. THE JEWS NEVER OWNED THE
TEMPLE MOUNT. IT IS AN ISLAMIC HOLY SITE AND KING DAVID NEVER PURCHASED IT LIKE THE JEWS CLAIM! In spite of the length to which Muslims go to prove this point, the fact is that there is no manuscript variation on the price that King David paid for the Temple Mount which he bought from Aravnah the Jebusite. Read II Samuel 24:18-25.3. THE JEWS NEVER BUILT A TEMPLE ON THE TEMPLE MOUNT AND THERE NEVER WAS A KING NAMED SOLOMON! This is close to being laughable and it is certainly ridiculous. I Kings 6:1 along with II Chronicles 3:1-2 plus a multitude of other passages clearly presents the evidence that David had a son, Solomon, who built the first temple under the LORD Gods instructions! 4. THE CITY OF JERUSALEM NEVER BELONGED TO THE JEWS. IT WAS AND IS A HOLY SITE FOR MUSLIMS! But, if that is really the case, why does the Koran not mention this city by either its Hebrew name or its Arabic name (Al Quds)? The Bible refers to Jerusalem 811 times and at least 150 more times by other names! Read I Kings 11:36 and II Chronicles 6:6. 5. JESUS WAS NOT A JEW, HE WAS A PALESTINIAN ARAB! Once again the lie is so ridiculous, but it is being promoted over and over again by Muslim leaders. His Jewish heritage is clearly spelled out in the Bible, and references to His Jewishness are found throughout the Bible. He is the Messiah of Israel, the One Who came unto His own. Read John 1:11. 6. THE LAND UPON WHICH THE JEWISH STATE IS OCCUPYING AT PRESENT WAS CALLED THE LAND OF PALESTINE AND WAS ONLY OCCUPIED BY PALESTINIAN ARABS. Once again, as Adolph Hitler said, if you tell a lie big enough and often enough, people will eventually believe it! The word Palestine was given to the Land of Israel (read Ezekiel 37:11-14 and Matthew 2:20-21) by the Roman Emperor Hadrian in the second century AD after he put down the second Jewish revolt under Bar Kochba. He did it to mock the Jews by naming it after their ancient enemies the Philistines. The irony of history is that the majority of people living in this land since the second century AD have been Jews, not Arabs! All of the points listed above were given to us also by a Muslim who wrote a very hostile communication to HOPE for TODAY.He kept insinuating that we were deceiving people by our support of the Nation of Israel.
