It is said that the new york
yankees are the powerhouse of
major league baseball, this is for a reason. Jonny
Damon has great capacity to fill the role of center field now that Bernie Williams is
getting old and does not have the great capacity he once use to have. Even though he is getting paid 12 million dollars to
play in a city which he has been rivals for his entire career. Damon understands that money talks and he is willing to give up the rivalry and play for a clear contender. do not get me wrong. Boston is a great team to play for now that Epstain is out of there. What i do not understand is why didnt Boston
try harder to keep damon. because if it was "big papi" or Manny Ramirez they would definately try harder to persuade him to stay. There is one thing i am sure of that Jonny damon will have to be used to dealing is, working with great superstars because AleX Rodriguez who right now has the longer standing contract in the major and Derek Jeter, Garry Sheffield, Matsui. I wish the best of luck to the New Look Yankees. and we will see them in the playoffs.
