I must admit, I am a new, born again Christian and now that I see things with new eyes...I am scared. I am a publicist and I own a firm in Los Angeles. I attended the celebrity parties and did all of the things that they were doing. Cocaine was everywhere, for everyone to consume and alcohol flowed like a stream. Under age girls, willing to do anything to get their big break, were tools for the rich and famous. The city is a modern day Sodom. The
thing thatdisturbs me, is the disregard for human morals! I moved. I could not be around this environment any longer. This is an everyday thing in Los Angeles, with the celebrity set. They honestly have nothing to do but to get high, drive around and look for some young thing to have sex with. My question is this...where are the missions to this city? I understand spreading the word of God, to the world. We
need to make
sure that the word is here at home. When one flies into Los Angeles, the sky has a dark grey cover on it. Yes, I realize that this is pollution, yet I also see it as a sign. The
pollution represents the corruption that is found on the streets. As Christians, we need to make a crusade into the entertainment industry. This industry has the power to enter our homes and influence our children. It is our job to make sure that those influences are healthy and positive. I am not
asking for censorship, I am simply asking that Christians are represented as much as the secular community. For example: "Access Hollywood" ...their
stories are all about Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Their drunken, sex filled parties, are making headlines. We need Chrisitan stories to take over those headlines! I, for one, would rather hear about a young person's positive contribution to our society. Join me and let's bring love, respect and values back into our world media.
