Silence is Golden :God has given us two ears to hear and learn, but one tongue to speak. But instead of using our ears more,
we use our tongue more. All the time we chat and indulge in gossips resultantly we waste our important and worthy time in it. We do not listen to others and put our judgment on others without going deeply in to the facts. Many times we expose our weakness by speaking baseless talks and our rivals take undue advantage from it. Then nobody respects a chatterbox. In today's world, where life is so busy, nobody will listen to you if you talk baselessly and without thinking. In such situation, you will remain alone in the society. The value of our life, both to ourselves and to others, is to be
judged not by the number of years we live but by the number of great, good and noble deeds we do in this world. Similarly, our personality is not judged from our physical outlook, but it judged from our ideas, thoughts and way of talking. The Wise men observe and preach
silence, which raises them in other's eyes and also covers a multitude of their sins and weaknesses. So long as we do not unnecessarily open our lips we are safe, but the moment we lose control on our tongue we suffer. Great men like Nanak, Gandhi and Vivekanand always emphasized the imperative need for silence. Silence not only increases our power of consideration but also develops valuable ideas in our mind. Shakespeare says in Hamlet :- "Give every man thy ear. But few thy tongue"It is well said that talk is silver and silence is gold. But it does not mean that we should sit like a statue. Before speaking, we must think what we should speak. The level of talk must be assessed after adjudging the audience. We must speak and express, only when it is essential..
