Democratic Presidential Hopeful Senator Barack Obama Parts With Pastor
By: Tommy Elder, Jr.
As the Democratic Presidential Campaign rolls down the tracks toward its final stop- Michael Powell and Jodi Kantor of the New York Times report that front runner Illinois Senator Barack Obama experienced a derailment in his relationship with his mentor the Reverend Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr.
Following combustible public comments made by Reverend Wright- Senator Obama severed their relationship. During a news conference- Senator Obama called to address the statements of Reverend Wright- the Illinois Senator termed the missives of Reverend Wright as `divisive and destructive.`
Recently, due to the incendiary remarks eminating from Reverend Jeremiah A. Wright- Senator Obama`s staff told reporters ``that they and the candidate came to feel that they had no control over the pastor, no sense of what next he might do or say.`` Due to this sense of forboding- the friendly relationship with his former pastor and mentor the Reverend Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. ceased.
With the Democratic Presidential Nomination heading into the home stretch- the National Republican Party put out a notice that should Illinois Senator Barack Obama secure his party`s Presidential Nomination- the Republicans will employ some of the more volatile comments presented by Reverend Wright as a weapon against the candidacy of Senator Barack Obama.
