Istanbul Cafes and Smoking
Restaurants now will impose a ban or a fine on the offenders should anyone or smoking friend smoke indoors inside the cafe, hotel, or restaurants in Istanbul. Smoking is a crime .. in Istanbul!
Even today cigarettes in Istanbul and the rest of Turkey are affordable so its not hard to light up in Istanbul but I must admit in my Hotel where I stayed for 4 nights in Istanbul on holiday recently -absolutely nobody was smoking .. in fact it was all so consciously /clean air/that I had a breah of fresh air to breath and the atmosphere of the place i.e. Sirkeci in Istanbul was simply wonderful.
Apparently the tradition of smoking in Istanbul and the rest of Turkey stretches back to the days of the Ottoman Empire historically! Nice work!
