What is it about money that consumes a person into an entire world of gadgets and toys? The power of money must consist of something other than the original artificial purpose that we created it for. Perhaps we look towards money too much, and too often. Countries go into debt over pieces of paper, and yet, still are able to be in control. Why does money make men act funny? Do I have to spend my money? Technically, the piece of paper with Washington's head on it isn't even mine when I have it. It belongs to the government that issued it; however, if I trade it for an object, then somehow in the mix, the object actually belongs to me. How long can we keep paying for overpriced goods when they really don't belong to us. They don't even belong to the manufacturers. I wish I could understand the whole "money is everything" motto, but as long as I have to work fifty hours a week for years just to be able to live out of the United States poverty level, then I can't. People need to look for something else, as in, don't worry about money, worry about your kids and your family. Sure, it takes money to support them, but is eating out at a restraunt every meal really necessary. Learn to cook and sew. Make your kids clothes out of the old ones. Isn't today's youth interested in stupidity anyhow? Make patched jeans from cummulated piles of their old ones. Wait! If we stop spending then we can no longer buy? The founding fathers of the United States were rather smart, and to keep a government so complex up and running, it would take some serious "dough." Perhaps they knew, not accidentally, but knew that we would someday end up where the United States people could no longer be the governors and no longer be able to change what is really wrong. If we can't stop the price growth, then we really can't do anything. Money is tied to everything now and we play a pitiful part in its evergrowing life.
