Americans and Illegal Immigrants. Is there room for both? We must
ask ourselves why the growth in poverty in certain areas of the United States? Why the growth in the Welfare System, Unemployment Compensations and Crime? Like most American'sthis is not aprejudice concern only a realistic one. But we have to ask ourselves, if the illegal
Immigrants may have something to do with it? In a couple of states for example like Michigan and Indiana. The
population of illegal immigrants has risen. Many of this population after arriving in the United States needs housing, transportation, food assistance, medical
assistance and schooling. Until establishing residency the majority are applying for welfare and recieving the assistance through the State. The cost for the United States has risen to support these immigrants. But what is it doing to the American people. Taking all the
jobs for instance. Let's ask ourselves, If we decreased the immigrant population to at least half of what it is today, How many jobs would open up for the tax paying Americans? The more jobs these immigrants are taking the less there are for the Americans. Then more Americans also are applying for the State Assistance, because we cant find jobs. The jobs arent as plentiful as they were. What about translators? What about theincrease inmoney forschools, courst, law enforcement agencies and businesses that we are spending for translators? What about the extra money America spends on printing literature in English and then again in Spanish? These are things that we dont think about everyday, but these are issues that are effecting the United States that need to be discussed. If population does one thing best, its that it grows. Where will poverty be for the Americans in just 10 more years? How many more immigrants will come to America in the next 10 years? Is there room for everyone?
