Children and Guns. Not a good combination
Every day a child is killed or injured by a guns and lack of
Gun safety. When will we start protecting these children? When is enough going to really beenough. We think it will never
happen to us. We think it will never happen to someone we know or love. We think our children would never touch a gun for we have educated them enough. But the truth is, there is that chance it could happen to you. Or a loved one or a friend. There is never enough gun safety discussions or education to our young people about the importance of staying away from
firearms. We cant rid our country of firearms. There are the hunters, law enforcements, hobbies and military. But we can rid our children of letting these firearms get into the hands of children. We can educate more and more on the importance of gun safety. Everyone wants to
blame the gun, but the fact of the matter is, its the one with the finger on the trigger that is to blame for that firearm being shot. What is more sad, is that if that trigger finger belongs to a child, its more the adult responsible for that fireman that should be to blame. For one, why did the child have the gun to begin with? Secondly, where is that childs education on gun safety of a firearm in the home? Why was ammunition and the gun in the same place for a child to get their hands on? These are questions we should not only be answering but doing something about.
Innocent children are dying and for every child that is educated on this matter. Could be one less life that is destroyed by this carelessness. The rising deaths of these children sadden many. An innocent life could be taken away at such a young age, only because that one person didnt educate. If every adult educated at least one child a day, think of how many lives could be spared?
