U.S.Deaths in Iraq

As of Wednesday, 11 July, at
least 3,610 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq   war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. The figure includes seven military civillians. At least 2,966   died as a result of hostile action, according to the military's numbers. The AP count is one less than the Defense Department's tally, updated since Wednesday.

* Army Sgt.Eric A.Lill,28,Chicago: killed Friday in Rustamiyah after his vehicle struck an explosive in Baghdad; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 17th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.
