Controversal Cleric Leaves Obama For President Campaign

Friend and spiritual adviser to Democratic Presidential Candidate- United States Senator from Illinois Barack Obama will leave the Obama for President Campaign. Peter Slevin of the Washington Post reports that the Reverend Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr., pastor of Chicago`s Trinity United Church of Christ distanced himself from the Obama Campaign due to some controversial comments he made.
Noted for statements such as- `Hillary is married to Bill, and Bill has been good to us. No, he ain`t. Bill did us just like he did Monica Lewinsky.` (the former White House Intern during the Presidential Term of former President Bill Clinton).
In addressing his actions in relations to his pastor i.e. Reverend Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr., Illinois Senator and Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama, in a letter to the Huffington Post wrote- ``because of the Reverend Wright`s imminent retirement and the Obama family`s strong ties to Trinity and its community,`` `I did not think it approciate to leave the church.`
Further, Senator Obama noted that- `The statements that Reverend Wright made that are the cause of controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity or heard him utter in private conversation.``
Due to the current controversy swirling around his public utterances- Reverend Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr., left steped down from his involvement with the Barack Obama for President Campaign.
