This drug has a great connection with writers poets artists and the student population and young people of the 1960s and Timothy Leary an American academic endorsed the drug and so did Alduous Hudley ... the phrase used by its adocate(s) was ... "Turn on, tune in, drop out" and many took the drug with grave consequences ......... young people were flashed all over the world, jumping from the top of tall buildings under the influence of LSD.
LSD creates visions, distorted minds similar to religious fasting and it has been seen to be used also by the CIA ... it i.e. LSD offered a cure for schizophrenia and alcoholism and treated DTs that is the aftermath of addiction to alcohol a kind of shaking the drug LSD controlled. But it was and still remains a controversial treatment of any of these conditions ..
