After shifting my base to an altogether different city, I did a mistake by believing on this brand of television recommended by my friend. This is Benq v920p. Though, before buying this television set, I did a bit of research but, the reality is before me.
For first three months, this television set work properly. Everything seemed to be fine and since it cost a bit less than its competitor, I was quite happy that I got a masterpiece. However, soon the actual performance or better to say, performance for long term began to unfold before me.
Though, this television set has better aspect ratio and resolution coupled with comprehensible contrast and brightness, the picture quality has deteriorated hugely. When I bought the set the quality of picture was nice but, now it is not worth its standard. When I contacted the support staff they told me to send the set to the service centre. I followed their wish and after one week they returned the set saying the abnormality has been converted into absolute normality. However, I am still experiencing absolute abnormality in the quality of picture. With this lower than standard quality of picture, all attraction of this brand new television set has been fly away into the thin air.
Though, the power consumption of the set as specifically mentioned in the accompanying brochure is 18W, however, surprisingly when I checked it with proper equipment the consumption is more than 25W. This is making an undue burden on my monthly electricity bill. When I again contacted the support staff, their answer was the consumption of 18W was in testing condition. I could not understand what that condition is and how I am supposed to create a testing condition for optimum power supply in my home.
In a nutshell, I am frustrated by the performance of this television. In fact, it has become a liability as it is not possible for me to change it in such a short time and the performance of this television is making my entertainment part of life a miserable one.
