Most of men like electronics especially cool gadgets. So at this holiday season, I think we choose the gadgets as gift to them, they would be like it.

There are three new phones I want. Since only two of them come on the superior Verizon network, I guess I'd accept the third on Sprint. My favorite is the iPhone 4s. The battery lasts longer than any Android phone's, it never crashes, there are 500,000 apps, and the Siri speech-recognition is shockingly good and intuitive. For typing e-mails, however, I'd rather have the BlackBerry Bold 9930. It's the best BlackBerry to date. A portrait keyboard is much better than those ergonomically uncomfortable sliders. While the touch screen is on the small side, the Bold finally uses a decent browser, even if it's still not as good as the ones on the iPhone or any of the Androids. Finally, for watching movies or browsing the Web a lot, nothing beats the huge 4.5-inch screen of the 3 Samsung Galaxy S II, pictured. It uses the superfast Swype system for typing, which is much better than typing on the iPhone. You don't lift your finger off the screen except to create a space between words. Android phones are the only ones that come with free actual turn-by-turn directions and live traffic. And they play Flash, which is nice. Skiing puts me way too high off the ground, so I built a mini-luger course at my place in Colorado. I plan on recording this year's lugging with the Contour+ HD camera. Its supermall, shoots HD, and has accessories for attaching it to anything, whether you're biking, hiking, skiing, or lugging uncontrollably through your backyard. A phone app lets you frame the super wide-angle lens and confirm what you're shooting while you still have a chance to fix it.

Every New Year's Eve, we host a party at our house in Telluride. In addition to a fake mustache and chaps, I always wear a new Scully cowboy shirt. Last year's was black with skulls that had red rhinestones for eyes. The shirt makes such an impact that my fringed leather chaps are almost redundant. Digital Man looks beyond the basics — and finds more than just electronic gadgets that any man would love to get this holiday season.
