NEW
NEWS indicate that Apple''s smartphone is being redesigned contradicting
earlier rumors of the iPhone would only be a 5 slightly improved
version of the iPhone 4. It''ll be even thinner and, perhaps, with wedge-shaped profile, tapering slightly from top to bottom. Moreover, the announcement could happen as early as August instead of September, as had been predicted.
The American blogger Boy Genius says that Apple, in fact, created an iPhone 4 with minor modifications, called the iPhone 4S. He had been delivered to application developers and may be the prototype of a model created for T-Mobile. But the real iPhone 5 will be different, really new design.
Another blog, This is My Next also said Apple has redesigned iPhone. The wedge-shaped profile of the possibilities would be evaluated by the company. Another
change would make the Home button that takes you to the beginning of
iOS, a kind of trackpad, such as those used in notebooks. The
advantage is that the user would make a single gesture to activate and
unlock the iPhone, instead of pressing the Home button first and then
slide your finger across the screen, as it is today.
The latest news also confirm that the iPhone screen is 5 higher than the current model, as had already been released. A size 3.7 inches is likely. The
screen resolution must be maintained, since changing it would bring
unnecessary problems of incompatibility with applications.
Boy Genius also says that Apple may announce the iPhone 5 already in mid-August. The start of sales, at least in the United States, would be a few weeks later. This term is not very different from what had been predicted. If Apple want to enjoy the season of the year-end sales, needs to present the new iPhone, a maximum in September.
Apple traditionally does an event in September to announce new versions of iPod. The company can use the same event to talk about two product lines. Or you can make the iPhone the first 5 and a few weeks later, in another event, the new iPod. From the standpoint of marketing, branch in which Steve Jobs has undeniable skills, the second option makes more sense.
In
a recent statement, Fran Shamma, chief financial officer of American
operator Verizon, said, when the new iPhone, the company will be on an
equal footing with its rival AT & T and the new model will be a
smartphone "global." The
interpretation of the market was that the iPhone 5 will be compatible
with two patterns of cellular networks: GSM, used by AT & T in the
United States and all Brazilian operators, and CDMA, which is employed
by Verizon and several Asian carriers.
None of these predictions about how the iPhone will be 5 is official and there is no guarantee that the information is true. The prototypes can be described only design studies and therefore may differ materially from the iPhone 5 final. Still, the descriptions make sense. There is no obvious discrepancy in them.
