            A proper understanding of Economics is essential for the
managers. Managers have to give due importance to the prevailing economic environment, while taking the decisions, which are primarily oriented such that the organization gives profits. There are various factors, which the managers must consider. They must know the ability of the market, to pay the price for their goods and services. The managers must know about monetary and fiscal policies of the Government, gross national product, per capita gross national product and distribution of income. This book is based on several years of experience of the author, in teaching macro-economics to the students of MBA. This book starts with pointing out the importance of economics, the difference between micro and macro-economics, theory of supply and demand, National Income, Labour market, Fiscal and monetary policy and International trade etc. It also contains a statistical appendix. It has been written in a simple language. This book is useful for the managers, and students of MBA, for understanding the economic environment, evaluating economic development and understanding economic or financial news.
