The image theory is the first Chinese ancient systematic poetics theory formation which has experienced two big philosophical
construction and three promotions in theory itself.Until LIU Hsieh's work of Wen-Hsin tiao-lung,the image theory came into being systematize.Wen-Hsin tiao-lung epitomized the image theory.As to the problem of the image type and nature,it can't be confined to the limitation of the old convention,but practical classification and
scientific explanation should be given in terms of the practice of literary creation and the need of the building of literary and artistic theory.At present,some academic authority looked upon the “Tao” of the great thinker LaoZi and Zhuangtzu as the nature of image theory,which in fact mistook the nature of artistic conception for that of the image theory.Zhou Yi,“observe and take image”and “establish the image to express the sense”is the primary principle of the image theory.Therefore,the nature of the image is a kind of ideology combines the object with the feeling,sense,reason,interest and hobby in harmony.The nature of aesthetic image is a diverse special ideology flashed in mind's eye or specified in the works when creating artistic imagery with literature or other materials.It is a scientific explanation to the nature of image and aesthetic image.
