The leading position of the CPC was not bestowed on it by itself, but rather was gradually set up in the course of leading the new democratic revolution and the socialist revolution and construction. It is the political base of the cooperation between the CPC and the other democratical parties to stick to the leadership of the CPC in the system of multi-party cooperation and political consultation.Marxist-Leninist theory about the leading role of the proletarian parties, about the strategy and tactics of the proletarian revolutionary struggle, about the proletarian revolutionary struggle and dictatorship, about the construction of the proletarian ruling party is all the essential theoretical basis of the demanded persistence in the system of multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the CPC,among which the theory about the persistence in the independence and the leading power of the proletarian party in the united front is the most essential one.The constitution has clearly defined that the state system of our country is a socialist one based on the people's democratic dictatorship under the leadership of the working class and with the alliance of workers and peasants as the foundation and it has claimed as well that the four cardinal principles are the premises that every party and law should follow, which has entrusted to the CPC the legal leading position in our country.
