In
order to compare the effects of single kind of common Chinese material medica for fracture healing (SKCMM) on the
expression of osterogenesis gene in osteoblasts cultivation in vitro, RT-PCR was used to observe the effects of SKCMM-containing serum on the mRNA expressions of BMP-2, cbfal and IGF in cultivated osteoblasts. The results showed: ① among SKCMM, Pyritum was the
best in
promoting the mRNA expression of cbfal, the next in
proper order were Radix Dipsaci, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Resina Olibani, Myrrha and Eupolyphagaseu Steleophaga but Rhizoma Drynariae had no this function; ② Radix Dipsaci and Rhizoma Drynariae were the best in promoting the mRNA expression of BMP-2, the nest in proper order were Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Pyritum and Morrha, but Eupolyphagaseu Steleophagaand and Resina Olibani had no this function; ③ Morrha was the best in promoting the mRNA expression of IGF, the next in proper order were Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Pyritum and Radix Dipsaci, while Rhizoma Drynariae, Eupolyphagaseu Steleophaga and Morrha had no this function, suggesting that SKCMM could influence the expression of osteogenesis gene but different drugs has different target genes.
