AIM:To study the compatibility principle and
medication rule of Chinese patent
medicines for treating rheumatic diseases.
METHODS:Database of Chinese patent
medicines for treating rheumatic diseases was established.Single herb
medication,medication of different methods,effects of drugs and compatibility principle were analyzed entirely. RESULTS:The herbs whose used frequence was in top ten were as follows:Chinese angelica root;chuanxiong rhizome,achyranthes and cyathula root,aconitum carmichaeli debx,safflower;heracleum hemsleyanum diels,ledebouriella root,liquorice,cinnamon twig and notopterygium root.By classifying and analyzing fifty kinds of herbs used on high frequency,there were most herbs such as promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis,antirheumatics,diaphoretics pungent in flavour and warm in property,tonics, interior warming drugs. CONCLUSION:There are numerous and complicated Chinese patent medicines for treating rheumatic diseases.Some medication rules are found out by applying database technique in classification and analysis of prescriptions,which are important for clinical practice and development of new drugs.
