On Information , Language and Meaning

Article Summary   by:TsingHua     Original Author: Hebei Academic Journal

The combination of language and meaning is able to make theory come out of the dual relationship of subject and object , and make it go into the social-historical practice dimension .But because of the absence of the prospect of sustainable development which demands the overall reciprocal practice of nature, human and society, there is a confining interpretative circulation of language and meaning as well as the metaphysics of meaning. From the standpoint of overall reciprocal practice, we have discussed the trine-informational characteristics of the practice mechanism which the sustainable development demands. Based on this, we then elucidated language and meaning: Language is the humanized relative static state and compound dualization of the trine reciprocal-practice information; Meaning is the informational degree of the linguistic practice in the social-historical practice. By exchanging views with western contemporary philosophers, we also demonstrated the realistic mechanism of the relationship of information, language and meaning.
