The Significant Effect of Taoism and CHEN WEI on XUAN YAN PO EM

The effect of Taoism(道教)and CHEN WEI(谶纬)on t he production of XUAN YAN POEM(玄言诗)has been ignored for a long time.Although we havent found exa ct materials that prove the significant effect of Taoism and CHEN WEI on XUAN YA N POEM,at least we can find the logical connection between them in the terms of theory.Depending on the power of Taoist,Taoism organized thousands of people int o a union;they struggled against the political power at that time.Obviously,this movement enlightened XUAN YAN POEM which primary goal was to rebel against the Confucian Classics.Moreover Taoism propagated doctrine in the form of verse;thes e classics are the earliest models of XUAN YAN POEM,which explain the theory in the forms of poem.CHEN WEI prophesies historical development by the theory of WU XING SHENG KE(五行生克),and XUAN XUE(玄学)regards the Taoism as guideline,which praises the character of water highly.Obviously, there is subtle coincidence be tween them.There are some incantations and prophecy in the form of verse in CHEN WEI,not only their contents but also their forms coincide with the meaning of X UAN YAN POEM,which is warning,admonition and encouragement.
