In this paper,by comparing the
philosophy of Rule by Virtue, which originated from Confucianism in ancient China,and the
strategy of running the country by virtue,the author concludes that the
strategy of running the country by virtue is anything but a reprint of the
philosophy.The strategy critically assimilates the philosophy by constantly bringing forth new ideas,thus,the strategy meets the need of the time.Then,the author tries to answer the following questions:1.What is the rational part of the philosophy and how dose it benefit the strategy.2.How to blaze new trails in the strategy.3.How to make virtue and law supplement each other and how to run the county by the combination of virtue and law. At last,the author brings forth the prerequisitions that gurantee the implementation of running the country by virtue.The author holds that: firstly,we should make sure that we are guided by the correct idealogy.Secondly,we should publicize the moral education.Thirdly,we should adhere the cadre line and apply the yardstick of morality when make use of personnel. Lastly,we should try to lay equal stress on the assimilation and the development of the strategy.
