The easiest mode of the exposition of the study on the forms of
official document writing is simple introductions, characterized
by “How to write”.And the commonest and widest-spread mode is that of“the descriptions of forms+examples”which is better yet still unsatisfactory. The problems mainly are: only one example for a form of
official document with no analysis or explanation; several examples but with no analysis or explanation; misuse of examples; misuse of defective articles; or even recommendation of defective articles.The two reasons for the hang-back of study on the writing of official document forms are: the widespread opinion of its mere simple and mechanical skill and the non-existence of the science of official document writing; the lack of a powerful group of researchers on it esp. excellent “generals”. The breakthrough of the
current situation is the great efforts of everyone and immediate compiling of new classics Modern “Shangshu”to effectively guide the writing of official documents.
