This paper results from the reinvestigation into the tours made by
MENG Hao ran,poet in Tang Dynasty,to Yue Shan. It believes
that,during his life time,MENG had ever made 3 tours to Yue Shan,all of which were during Kai Yuan period. During his first tour,from the spring of the 13th year to the May of the 15th year,Xiang Yang as the starting point,MENG made aquaintance of LI Bai in Guang Ling and met his fellow villager ZHANG Zi rong in Yue Cheng of Yong Jia. During his second tour,in the fall of the 21st year,which was the famous "
from Luo to Yue",he made contact with CUI Guo fu in Shan Ying and made another appointment with him in Yue Zhong the next year. During the third one,in the spring of the 23rd year,by reason of the appointment with vice magistrate CUI Guo fu in Shan Ying county,MENG went to Yue Shan from Xiang Yang by way of Jiang Xia. Meanwhile,at Huang He Tower,he met LI Bai again,who wrote the famous poem Seeing
