In the literary world of Taiwan in the late 20th century, the women writers regained the female independent right of writing
in the themes of the body and sex. However, this private field of women was by no means the only way out for women literature.
Liglale Awe,a woman writer of the Paiwan ethnic, consciously portrayed the images of traditional women in her tribe in her works. This sense of mission for the characteristics of tribal cultures is felt in texts of both men and women writers. After all,an involvement in ethnic culture in the manner of writing about the private field and description in terms of memory of an individual female sex experience are characteristic of women writers rather than men writers. From the view of the early femininist critics, the role of sex exerted considerable effects on literary works of the native women writers. In a word, there are still quite a few issues left to contemplate and explore with regard to the status quo of
native Taiwan folk literature with emphasis on works of women writers.
