Abstract The spread of China's Tang Dynasty poetry is part of human spread activities in which language, as signs
and a medium, holds a very important position. Its main form is the way of writing such poems--a way termed inscription which is obviously very effective and the comment on the poems written in this way reflects the maturity of the Tang Dynasty Chinese consciousness of spread and their value orientation in poetry writing. Another way of spreading the Tang Dynasty poetry is making private copies which is very popular and convenient and has the characteristics of mobility, exchangeability and permanentness. The third way of spread is the use of shijian( poetry writing paper) which had a special function of spreading poetry in the Tang Dynasty and the last way of spreading the poetry is xingzhuan (editing poems) which, as a kind of spread carrier closely related to imperial examinations, has a great impact on and is a great driving force in spreading the Tang Dynasty poetry.
