The Concept of the Di-models:
Attainment model:
Problem
Events happen, some completely unexpected, seemingly from nowhere. There has to be an explanation for the present state of the universe. One that can help us predetermine the future, understand the past and justify the present. There must be some definite relationship between the entities of the universe that controls the flow of events. That relation could be that of attainment.
Theory
Previous events explain the occurrence of new ones. Every event that
occurs must have previous occurrences that lead up to it. These previous occurrences are called
pre-
attainments and the events they lead up to post attainments. No event occurs without pre-attainments and no event occurs without post attainments. It takes a specific combination of pre-attainments known as attainment recipe to finally lead to a specific event or set of events. Such relationships are the attainment programs of such an event. An attainment program would say be for example: Event X- subject A in state Z; Pre-attainment- subjects A, B or and C in states P, Q, R; Post-attainment- subjects A, B or and D in states P, Q, O.
Application
An attainment program sets a clear standard for the flow of the events in the universe. It gives a clear signal of events yet to come or presently occurring and therefore gives a warning if such events are emotionally
polarized. We must keep modeling programs from our past experiences so as to take full advantage of our capacity to predict the future, the present or past. Chances are that attainment relations occurring in the past will continue to do so in the future as they have always been.
Elaboration:
If you wanted to posses a house, your central event would be to be in a state in which you posses a house. But to attain this event certain states must be true- the pre-attainments such as having the money to buy it and knowing where to find it. The post attainments on the other hand would be polarized, such as having the warmth and comfort of being sheltered, having a place to host guests and perhaps raise a family. All these are post attainments of a single event, owning a house.
Disattainment model
Problem
You set up sets of plans, you make sure everything is in place, you expect a positive event to occur. But when the event occurs it comes along with a price which is often not foreseen and often ruins the motivation for the event to occur. An explanation could be the theory of disattainment.
Theory
Some post attainments are negatively polarized while others are positively polarized emotionally. This however does not stop the postattainments from occurring simultaneously in what we refer to as a reinforced manner. In many instances the two or more postattainments can not be disassociated from one another and the only solution is to bear them together. In such instances the negatively polarized postattainment can be referred to as a disattainment.
Application
When setting up pre-attainment structures it is important that we consider the broad range or scope of post attainments not just the interest one because some of them can be negatively polarized. We therefore have to ask ourselves whether the event of interest is really worth the disattainments that are they themselves associated with its attainment or whether they can be disassociated from it in some way.
Elaboration:
Possessing a house does not imply that all will be good. Disattainments such as billing costs must come along with attaining the desirable. Disassociating these from the interest post attainments is seemingly impossible so they must be borne.
Reattainment theory
Problem
Some positive events occur unintended, in fact the majority of them do. This makes it extremely difficult to tactfully attain a series of positive events simultaneously when the only way they can all occur is unintentionally. How does a player lure the events of the playground to his side by attaining a number of objectives simultaneously in a seemingly short time and with the employment of only a limited number of strategies far less than the number of objectives set? The answer could lie within the theory of reattainment.
Theory
Reattainment is ideally the opposite of disattainment. Here you have a series of post attainments that are not all intentional, however neither are they all necessarily negatively polarized. You have perhaps a number of associative postattainments that are positively polarized and this sweetens the attained victory even more. In some instances it is even more surprising to note that the unintended associative postattainments can be more positively polarized than the event of interest itself. It is important therefore for the analytical player to remain open minded towards the flow of events of the game and expect a change of perspective at any time.
