THE IRONY OF LIVING BEYOND ONE`S MEANS.
Once upon a starless midnight, yes,an impenetrable dark, there was an Owl. a tropical bird that sat on the branch of towering Iroko tree. There were two ground rabits who tried to slip quietly by, unnoticed. "You" said the Owl "Who" they trembled in fear and surprised, for they could not believe it was possible for anyone to see them in that thick darkness. :"You too" bumaranged the Owl. The Rabits quicky went away and told the other
animals of the field and forest that the Owl was greatest and wisest of all animals because he could see in the dark and because he could answer any question.
"I`ll see about that", said
Sparrow who acts as the scribe of the animal kingdom. He called on the Owl one night when it was again very dark, :On what am I holding my talon on?" said the Sparrow. "On the bough in between the branches". replied the Owl, and that was right. "Can you give me another expression for: `therefore` asked the sparrow, "For that reason" said the Owl. "What is the primary reason for lover calling on his love? asked the scribe, "to dearly woo" said the Owl.
The scribe bird hurried back to the other animals and reported his findings, confirming that the Owl was indeed the greatest and wisest animal in the world because he could see in the dark and because he could equally answer any question. "Can he see in the day time, too? asked Bat. All the other creatures laughed loudly at this which they called silly question. After they sent a message to the Owl and asked him to be their leader.
When he appeared to meet other animals, it was high noon and the sun was shining at its peak. He walked very slowly, this gave him an appearance of great dignity, and he began to peer around with large staring eyes, which however gave him an air of great importance. "He is greaat" screamed Pelikan. And others took up the cry "He is great" so they follow him wherever he went and when he bump into things they began to bump into things, too. When finaly he came to a concrete highway, and he stood at the middle of it and all the other creatures followed him.
There was a Weaver bird there who has been acting as herbinger, sensed a trailor coming fast towards them, and he immediately reported to the scribe bird - Sparrow -and the scribe bird cried out. "There is danger ahead" "On the bough in-between the branches? the Owl asked. The scribe bird asked him, :Aren`t you afraid "For that reason? the Owl repeaated calmly, for he could not see the trailor. "He is great, cried all the animals again. As they were still crying "He is great" the truck hit them and ran the down. Some of the animals were merely injured, but most of them including Owl - the great were killed.
The Owl, was of the creature that see at night, and there were those who see as well only in the day. The creator purposely allowed this imperfection to avoid all round domination. The Owl was quite aware of this instinct fact but he proudly forgot that pretence can never force realities to be where they ought not.
Therefore, one suppose to live within the limit of his capacity and capability, if not, he will imperatively reap the fruit and the irony of one living beyond his means,
