In di-ethics we believe that the individual is in full control of his
happiness and does not have to expect it from
anyone-even God himself.
This is because one’s
happiness is not dependent on things of the
flesh, of this earth or of the life after, one’s happiness is dependent
only on the recognition of one’s existence and that is the only thing
we should truly be thankful for to God. We should be happy that despite
all the pain, suffering, guilt, confusion, loss and distress this world
has to offer, we can still
feel. And our recognition of pain is the
only extra evidence we need that we are still feeling.
Whether we do right or wrong, good or bad must come only from within us
and not from without or for whatever reason we expect it to be for. If
we keep denying ourselves of what we truly feel because we are told
that it is bad and we are guilty, then we will not be living our lives,
but we will be living those of others and those of the laws that bind
us. Any good that we do will be attributed to the law, to God, to our
inherent weaknesses and fears and to Jesus himself and then there will
be no telling whether we are truly bad or good for we may ultimately
still be bad. We may watch ourselves do good because we are cowards of
what will come to us, when inside we long for nothing but evil. But is
it just not possible that the human being without any external
influences, threats, pressures, insults, accusations or promises of
life after death or of success here on earth can decide to do what is
good and knows it clearly. Does not the human being deserve the right
to his own free will?
We must not listen to tells of how guilty we are before others for
nobody can truly be hurt by us and nobody can truly hurt us. We must
not listen to tells of how this is bad and that is good for good and
bad made of the same thing all come from the same thing-this world. And
this world can posses so much pain and suffering as you have never
imagined could exist, so much guilt and hatred that you didn’t know
could come your way. And when you finally find that you are in the
midst of it, only your childishness and weakness will tempt you to
blame God or fellow man for your very state. For you are in control of
your feelings and your feelings are your life and no one can take that
away from you not even that who made you. Your faith is timeless and so
even if you are erased never to feel again on the face of this planet
history will still be written that you once believed in something and
that that something was real.
Why look for heaven in a distant world beyond any physical existence
you can experience, beyond the boundaries of space and the limits of
your time when you have it right inside you within your soul. If God
who created you gave you the capacity to feel such happiness as you
would one day expect in heaven then why not use such a capacity here
and now by creating your own conditions for happiness that are not
dependent on the uncertainties of any material or after death
experiences?
You will hear people dreaming of beautiful things, a beautiful world, a
happy existence, money perhaps, friends, a family and a life. But when
they can’t get any of these and something hinders them from accessing
true happiness the fate of nature exposes them to so much pain instead.
And then they cry over their distress and often say that they hate God.
Some go on to say that they have been attacked by a dark external force
that takes pride in inflicting eternal pain upon the innocent and the
helpless. And they will feel so much fear for such an external force
that they won’t even be able to get sleep at night. The more they try
to ignore this force the more it becomes a reality for it surrounds
them everywhere and they call it evil. And all the mischief of this
world is attributed to it for it is the source of all suffering,
injustice and pain. And there is no escape for all of us.
But how can you fear such an entity when you have managed to detach
yourself from everything material? Evil hides behind the desirable
things that are in this world and without them there can be no evil for
there is no motivation for it. So only look down at evil and pity it,
for you have been able to pass that phase and look beyond what is
material, what is desirable.
Ecclesiastes 5:9 If you love money, you will never be satisfied. If
you long to be rich, you will never get what you want. All you get is the knowledge that you are rich.
