The housefull
auditorium was lighten up by
earsplitting whistles and a thundering round of applause; within minutes
a fully engrossed ‘me’ was brought to reality . I could distinguish
people flocking backstage to congregate
their favourite personality, and to my revelation within no time I too could
see myself making my way out in the same direction !! The glamour , the fame ,
the exaltation , the praises , just hypnotised me and made me toddle to the
backstage.Ditto for Cinema, I have seen the crowds going crazy …, This is what
I say “ The Seductive World of Performing Arts / Cinema”. ..
I hope you all
will agree with me , there are really very few who don’t get carried away with such glamour and fame,
they are rather what I term as “grounded
people”. A complete world in itself , it
makes you forget almost everything atleast for a moment.It captivates you so
much that you suddenly start dreaming of you being her or him ( like your
favourite personality ).. Someday , at some moment you even try to facsimile him / her through your actions , Famous dialogues become talk of the town ,
even the toddler’s have dialouges at the tip of their tounge , such is the
impact . But then , who does not like to
be illustrious and gain popularity ? , and I feel this medium , ie. The
entertainment medium ( Drama, Cinema) which keeps you in the people’s eye
constantly is byfar the easiest way to be one.
Studies confirm that todays life has become a
much more busy their by making it stressful and hectic when compared to
yesteryears. . Lot of tension, then may it be ,a professional or personal one constantly haunts them . In such a scenario when there is
hard to find an escape route, the Cinema/ Drama comes to the rescue. But why
cinema or drama? Generally , Cinema or
drama in most of the times replica of
the societ , which makes people connect with it immediately. By and large it
tries to depict the real life facts, problems and possibly even provides solution to them ( problems) . The entertainment factor ( the lavish sets ,
the soulful music , combined with the
histronics of actors) , makes one forget tensions , lonelyness atleast for the
timebeing .
Every year thousands
of fresh ‘ ingenious talent’ , as I
would like to say it , from all over the
country come to the Entertainment Capital…”Mumbai” to
fullfill their somewhat ‘illusive’ dreams ; then may it even be against their parents’ wish ; who cares !

This world has seduced the young crowd so much
probably because of the colossal money factor to the highest degree complimented
with fame and popularity . However sadly
, the boulevard to it is not simple or rather easy
as it may appear to our incisive
mind .Yeah , though if you are blessed
with a ‘Godfather’ then going does get easier and simpler to a certain extent..
But often the ‘creatively seduced youths’ often ignore the amount of hardwork ,
tensions , that goes into it. So, not many succeed at the end of the day .
People are even crazy
enough to buy copies of biographies published,of some of the well known actors.
The Common Man is always interested to
know the ‘real’ essence of the actors life . The curiosity to know about the
‘real one’ drives them crazy and
blatantly enough I am ready to confess that I am one of them…! To me , I am completely seduced by the
entertainment world ! Imagine for a
moment , you surrounded by thousand of
people to get a glance of you or atleast
an autograph, it gives you a complete
high….yeah atleast it gives me.
But I alarm you all , is this world really so much merrier as it
seem to be ? I doubt ,yes.. I certainly doubt and then all my dreams ,
assumptions , presumptions just take a
backseat . Its certainly not that merrier ! If I have spoken so much positive
about it till now , then I doubt as much as
twice would be its negativity , though I cant say . But I bet , it does give you a different
high, if you are seduced by it……….and I
bet this one is harder to resist…..!
