Write your abstract here.
Language and culture are interrelated. There is no culture without language because thanks to oral and written and visual mediums, culture would not exist. Levis strauss defines culture as everything surrounding an individual living in a geographical era. Everyday life confirms the fact that such individual confirms to the values and norms surrounding Us. Non conformists used to be judged as abnormal beings doomed to clinical therapy and to lessons in social inclusions. Language would not "be" unless it is situated within a cultural context. It reflects social belo, ging ( through accent and vocabulary). An interraction between a British mother and her four years child proves the link between language and social belonging. The child says: " can you give me a spoon?". She scolds for sounding impolite because British citizens belonging to the upper class would substitute the word "can" by the word "may".
Today language has been playing an important part in spreading Western values in countries situated in the Southen hemisphere. Advertisements through mass media has considerably infuenced thought and standards of living. Malinowski believes that TV, the image, has collaborated in shaping not only new managers and new employees but the world surrounding them. Production has therefore abandoned factories.........This is capitalism in its new form. It has created a homogenious world bubbling in frustration felt by those inhabiting the southen hemisphere. Thanks and " because" of Language, a line has been drawn between the South and the north bearing a false torch of dialogue and cultural sharing
My thoughts have suddenly evolved around this topic. I feared I would fail to find your website, so I hastened to write these lines that Would hopefully constitute the pivot of some discussion
with my best regards
