I have happened to do a lot of things, which have turned to be fruitless. But I never ever had a chance to condemn my self for being that ‘naïve’ of the future result before I invested my effort on what I happened to do because at the end of the day, I realized that something which I didn’t posses before, had been added to me. This is what we call experience- the best teacher in the world. I have ever worked some where as a teacher for more than two months with the expectation to reap nothing at the end of each month, and instead I had to use my pocket money to cover the
expenses of teaching others while I knew at the end of the day, I would reap nothing, only because I thought that it would
cost me nothing. On the moment like this, sometimes I kneel down and thank God that even if I open a web page and watch some latest car models, yet I have no cash to purchase one, it cost me nothing. At the same time, while I open the eBay website, while I know their
products cant reach me (as I live in a ‘remote’ area) yet I end up with enough
experience on how it might cost me if I happen to buy one in one of the nearby shop. One day I wrote a
proposal on how to establish a tomato sauce
plant and related product, the proposal which seemed so wonderful, and I sent it to one of the company that owns many food products industries scattered in different location of the country. The managing director phoned me to say that they were sorry because they had already received so many proposals from Italy and they considered mine as a poor one. I was shocked and much disappointed to hear that and I left the plant offices without getting paid even a single cent. By the way I was not that much exhausted because it cost me nothing to prepare that proposal and by the way I got a chance to move in different parts of the plants while the workers give me a respect because I was passing with their bosses. In that way I saw it as a great return when compared to money. What I want to say to you today is that. There are a lot of things which you might be planning to do and you count the cost of doing them. Let me now help you to evaluate what you should do or you shouldn’t. If you think that something will cost you nothing (or small expenses) DO IT. If something cost you much, yet you can
afford to cover those expenses, and you are sure that it will pay you with a profit, DO IT. But if you think that something will cost you much and you are not sure if it will pay you, I say don’t waste your money, better invest them on another project with promising return.
