GANDHI-THE REAL SAINT
On 30 January,1948,
An old man in a lion cloth died.
Yet when this happened,
Humanity wept and people cried.
In the cause of brotherhood and
peace,
Had fallen another giant among men.
Even
today as his faith burns bright,
He still lives in the grave since then.
A man of great character,
Amidst turmoil he found peace.
One such was never seen before,
A hope of the future breeze.
A father he was to the people,
The quitenessance of those millions.
Cementing their bonds with his blood,
He blossomed India to new greatnesses.
He cured addiction to greed,
Spinning the wheel to awaken the masses.
Gave his life for the good of India,
He was a light among the darknesses.
A saint of full
devotion,
He showed the right way to heaven.
Molding India to his dreams,
Was a moral to men and women.
Today with the angels although he is,
His imperishable
teachings abide with us.
Solemnly let us pledge today to afresh ourselves,
With his teachings and
ideals as a mark of trust.
Hats off to his ideals, devotion,
To your service and to your
sacrifice.
You abandoned your family for the good of people,
Long live Gandhiji! Long live this men so wise!
