The cover story (Messiah turn
mercenaries--The Sunday Indian News Weekly) revealed many shocking facts about the medical
fraternity. Thank you for the daredevil attitude and fearless reporting. Indian public needs such reporting. Your previous issues too exposed the dirty lifestyles of many such fraternities to the notice public. The so called Messiah’s are sucking the innocent blood. Will there be an end to this system? The rich and the influenced are hand in glove with these
mercenaries, their underhand dealings are unpardonable. The need of the hour is a total change in the corrupt system. All corrupt practitioners should be severely dealt with. As Mr. Malay Chadhuri suggested, to get away from these ‘merchants of death’ is to devise a National Health System geared towards all category of people, and hospitals like the one (Shramjibi Hospital) at Belur in West Bengal, should come up in each district and block levels of all the states. People need a humanised health
treatment, not an inhuman treatment from these fraternities. Why Indian government can’t think of a Cuban National Health System, which is high in standard and affordable to everyone. It is high time that the authorities should think seriously on this to save many innocent victims from the clutches of these ‘Merchants of Death’.
