At
the sphere of Global politics, economics and socials, whenever often mention the word socialism by the other side of this terminology, it’s also normal to hear others mentioning the word capitalism . Both these are economic theory and systems of advocating and influencing the development of global communities politically, economically and socially. In other way, Socialism is a political and economic theory advocating that the community as a whole should own and control the means of production, transport, property, etc . But capitalism is very different from socialism, because capitalism is an economic system in which trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit. But here I want to talk about something which I call “New Socialism system” when I say new socialism here I mean “formation groups of community members organized for their own communities development” such as fighting against poverty and other social problems. By other ways this kind of communities’ development groups are known as Civil Societies and this include Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Basic Community Organizations, Faith Based Organizations (FBOs) and many other social/community voluntary organizations.
I associate the Civil societies with new socialism because the main purposes of most of these civil societies are of charity and spirit of volunteerism and not for private owners or profit , they are intended for the benefit and development of all community members in need. To my self I can say that socialism is an equal opportunity system of producing and utilizing the available resources in charitable and volunteerism manner among the community members. Capitalist is of charity but have no compulsory share, it is an option of the private owners for profit to provide voluntary or charitable share or not. This capitalism system is a kind of people’s democratic means of developing and owning wealth or properties in their community. The capitalism system is very effective in well-off or developed countries than in most developing countries . Many developing countries today provide a lot of resources to such of these communities’ development groups or civil societies for they know the importance role they have in the global communities’ development.
At todays global, it’s very difficult to hear about socialism for now the one currently on chart is capitalism. But to my own perception I do understand that theoretically and practically capitalism is superior in most developed countries. But in most developing countries practically socialism still is an existing effective system used by various community development groups or civil societies in bringing their people’s development . This kind of socialism is the one I nick-named as “New Socialism” because this is a kind of a live and useful system of especially poor or vulnerable groups of global people utilize in improving their well-being. Through this New socialism system, many societies in the global community members especially in developing countries have been able to establish and monitor various community projects such as; - community banks, savings and credit trust funds, roads, and other income generation projects under societies.
