Badly paid teachers in Romania ( 120 EU per month )

Article Summary by: RezsoLazar

It may seem ridiculous, but unfortunately those teachers who are engaged as an unqualified teacher earn only about 120 Euros
a month. You can be an unqualified teacher with adequate qualification, but your diploma is not recognized by the Romanian state just because you studied abroad. I have a bachelor of Arts degree in English language and literature but my salary is exactly somewhere at the minimal wage level.  The situation is much more worrying whent set against the fact that I work overtime to get the minimal wage.  As a matter of course it is entirely good for the Romanian government because they have to pay me less. It is irritating because when I taught in Hungary I was recognized as a teacher and earned about 350 Euros with the same diploma. It is true that in Hungary the living standard is a lot higher but I was abroad there. Despite it I was not degraded in my status or as a man.
