You know, 2 or 3 weeks back in Sudan, a teacher from England got arrested. It was because when she ask her students to name
their
teddy bear or whatever, a boy named his bear "Muhammad". So she was accused of "letting her student to insult Islam".
Come on, the boy''s own name is Muhammad, and this name is so common among the Muslim races. There are so many "Muhammad"s among the Arabs, Malays, Pakistanis... And the bear wasn''t named "Prophet Muhammad", but just "Muhammad".
There are people who name their children after their religious figures, such as "Jesus" and "Maria" among Spaniards (Roman Catholics), "Vishnu" and "Siva" among Indians (Hindus), "Wisnu" among Indonesians (they were once Hindus before the arrival of Islam), and even this "Muhammad" among Arabs and the other Muslim races...
If naming the bear "Muhammad" is insulting Islam, then are those people stated above insulting their own religion!? Idiotic!
The one who named the teddy bear was the master (the boy), not the teacher. If it is faulty, then the faulty one should be THE BOY, NOT THE TEACHER!
And later the teacher was jailed, then many people in Sudan called to sentence her to death. Finally, UK sent 2 Muslim politicians to Sudan to explain to the Sudanese government that the teacher didn''t insult Islam. Finally she was freed and went back to her home.
Why, did this unreasonable thing happened!? The Sudanese are clearly anti-UK, so they purposely find an excuse to drive the English teacher away. But this is an idiotic way! Don''t they have people who named "Muhammad" too, besides that boy?
